For this month, our resolve to empower the underprivileged remained strong through various empowerment activities such as conducting educational classes for them in our rehabilitation centre, as well as computer and BPO training. We were also able to give them the benefit of counselling, e-learning and customisation as well as distributing nutritious food items.
Emergency Relief: Kanawani Slum Fire
For this month, we were faced with an emergency situation. Due to the fire in the Kanawani slum cluster, more than 150 homes had been burned down, and the affected people required urgent aid. With your continuous help, we were able to provide for these people by giving them:
- Food and clean drinking water
- Counselling for their trauma
- Essential items to keep the homeless warm.
