Gau Seva
Together, We Create a Kinder World…Protecting & Healing the Voiceless Souls Our Gau Mata
Smile India Trust, believes that age is just a number, and every senior cow is treated like family. We have dedicated our lives to providing a loving, peaceful, and dignified retirement for the aged cows at “Prachin Shri Sidh Baba Balaknath Gaushala”. Every day, we ensure they receive the specialized care, respect, and deep affection they truly deserve in their golden years… “Serving an animal that cannot repay you helps dissolve the human ego and teaches the true essence of Nishkama Karma (selfless service)”
The Concept of Gaushala
Into the Gaushala, the cows they have are from the roads, whom people have left, who are not getting attention from their previous owners. The people who run this Gaushala are not only just taking care of them but also providing food, shelter, medical help, etc. 80% of the cows that are adopted by the gaushala are not able to provide milk.
In this Gaushala, the cows that are no longer valued are send. Those cows are neither well nor healthy enough to stand. They are not physically well, not able to walk properly and are not able to eat by themselves. These cows need more attention than any other cow.
To Whom we are helping and How
Smile India Trust is helping the Gaushala, there are 80 cows that we are presently been taken care off here. They need our support for food, medical and other needs. Of the 80 cows, the 65 cows don’t even give milk. Our aim is to nourish them with the food they need, like green fodder, chaff (dry fodder), jaggery, mustard cake, bran, etc. And we are helping them with the medical facilities like regular medication or nutrition, deworming medicine or health care, emergency medicine, and vaccinations and veterinary check-ups.
And just for a normal food like green forage and chaff (dry fodder), which these cows eat daily, cost Rs.100 per day, for a single cow, and that food not only just fills their stomach, but also gives them nutrition, minerals, energy and power. We just don’t need to feed them, we are going to nurse them to a healthy life again or at least give them all the comfort till their end. “According to scriptures like the Skanda Purana, feeding, caressing or protecting a cow, cleanses past karmic debts and removes subtle impurities from the heart.”
Do you know, that, the expense for their monthly medical needs are around Rs.4600 for one cow for the complete month? We provide them with the best of the best medical treatment for regular medication, vaccinations, and veterinary check-ups that are required for them.
We do all these things to help the cows who genuinely need our help, and we try to give them a better medical facility and the good food they need the most.
How can you help them in providing these facilities ?
You can help them by providing food and medical assistance for a better life with constant care.
The cost of Rs.100 is incurred per day for basic food, and the monthly expense for the food is around Rs.3700. The medical help includes with providing them with antibiotics, basic medicine, regularly which costs us Rs.4600 per month.

Gauseva Dham by Smile India Trust is committed to saving and serving Gau Mata by providing free treatment, shelter, and care. We aim to create a compassionate society where every animal receives all the love and respect they need as also mentioned in Sanathan Dharma… “Importance of Gauseva (serving the cow) lies in its status as a vital spiritual duty, a source of supreme karmic purification, and the strongest structural pillar of righteous living (Dharma). The cow is not treated merely as an animal, but as Gau Mata (the universal mother) who selflessly nourishes”
